Deliberately hidden on an almost inaccessible mountain in South America are the still-functioning cities of the last high civilization of pre-Columbian America. These people call themselves our “Elder Brothers” and conceal themselves so that they can continue what they see as their work of taking care of the world “in spirit”. In 1989 they asked Alan Ereira to help them communicate with us, to explain that their work is no longer effective in the face of our rampage of environmental destruction.

The resulting BBC programme, “From the Heart of the World – The Elder Brothers Warning” had a sensational impact. Alan maintains regular contact with the Kogi and was last there in February 2007.
